Garco Laboratories

Garco Testing is one of the largest and most diverse testing laboratories in Utah. Garco has been in business for more than three decades, serving the needs of large and small clients alike for accurate and reliable materials testing, and is AMRL and CCRL accredited. Garco is a subsidiary of Granite Construction Company.

In addition to the convention tests on soils, concrete, and hot-mix asphalt which most laboratories routinely test, Garco also specializes in more advanced tests. These include backpressure permeability, pre-qualification test on epoxy and silicone, alkali reactivity tests for concrete aggregates, hot-mix asphalt designs (marshall and superpave methods) and Portland cement and pozzolan. In addition, Garco has just expanded its capability to adding a completely equipped asphalt cement binder laboratory for testing AC and PG asphalt cement binders. Garco is one of only a few commercial laboratories nationwide to have this capability.
